The Power of Engagement - Achieving Continuous High Performance!
David Thomas
Global Head of Country Human Resources
Standard Chartered Bank

In this exclusive HR Summit presentation, David will share valuable best practice and demonstrate how employees, customers and the community have visibly noticed the difference from focused engagement practices at Standard Chartered.
Essentially, people enjoy working for (and do business with) a company that offers more through engagement. David will also share strategies that managers can use to provide clarity of purpose, nurture talent, respect diversity and play a responsible role in the community - all which have resulted in improved engagement, productivity and company performance at Standard Chartered. Participants will learn basic principles that could be applied in any organization to further improve levels of employee performance, including:

1. What do we mean by engagement?
2. What are the leading indicators of great performance?
3. Why engagement is at the core of out-serving employees, customers and achieving operational excellence for any industry; and
4. The value of sharing and visible leadership

By exploring the above from Standard Chartereds perspective, this session will help participants to understand how genuine responsibility for the right engagement can attract and retain people who achieve more than come to work and do their day job.
